Clayton Echard Spills the Tea on Where He & Gabby Windey Stand Now
Getting candid.

Gabby went on to be the Bachelorette on Season 19, and now, both she and Clayton find themselves single again.
If you’ve been following Gabby on social media, you know that over the past few weeks, she’s thrown some playful jabs at Clayton in her posts, like when she posted the dress she was going to wear when Clayton was supposed to propose to her.
And then she gave away two of the dresses from major moments on his season to fans.
Clayton chimed in on the comments of Gabby’s posts, and now he’s stopping by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast and opening up about their exchanges.

Host Joe Amabile asked Clayton to spill the tea on where he and Gabby stand now.
The former Bachelor said, “Gabby posted something else recently about her selling the dresses from when we were on the same season together and I commented saying, ‘Don’t be shy, tag him.’ I’m just having fun with it. I have no bad blood towards her. I have not spoken to her at all since the end of my season. I don’t know how she feels about me. I would hope it’s water under the bridge.”
Clayton went on, saying, “I felt like when she made that original post saying, ‘Clayton was supposed to propose to me in this dress,’ I kind of took that as a lighthearted, fun jab. I didn’t take it as her taking a shot at me even though she put an asterisk in my name. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. I just thought it was playful banter. She didn’t say anything after I sent the message and I know she saw it. The comment was up there, so I know she saw it.”
Joe asked Clayton if he thought about sliding into Gabby’s DMs after commenting on her posts.
Clayton said, “No, I didn’t consider sliding into her DMs after that. What am I going to slide for? I think she’s an incredible person and she’s doing really well for herself, but I think at this point we could just be friends, but there would be nothing else there. She knows that and I know this.”
He went on, saying, “There’s no way she could ever revisit that, and I think it was pretty apparent who I decided to choose with Susie. I made that decision, and I don’t think anyone would want to feel like they’re my second choice. That’s just the way that this whole thing works. You’re picking and there are multiple people, and in their head and my head they would never feel like they were the number one.”
