Ben Higgins Reveals He Considered Being the Bachelor for a Second Time: ‘Nobody Really Knows This’

This week, the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast released a bonus crossover episode with “Almost Famous” co-hosts Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins.
The two opened up to Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt about their podcasting journey and how they were one of the original Bachelor Nation recap podcasts.
Ashley and Ben are still going strong as co-hosts, and Ben looked back on where they were when they first started.
He also revealed that he was considering going back to be the Bachelor for the second time after his split from Lauren Bushnell.
Ben said, “At the time, we were both single when we started this, and I was actually thinking about going back on the show. Nobody really knows this, but there was a moment in my life when I was single again and I was like, ‘Should I go back to be the Bachelor again?’”
Ashley jokingly got mad at Ben for breaking this news on “Bachelor Happy Hour” rather than on their podcast.
She asked if it was going to be for back-to-back seasons or if it would’ve been for a later season.
Ben said, “It wasn’t back-to-back seasons. I don’t know if it was ever an official ask either, but it was a ‘Hey, are you interested? Would you ever consider doing it again?’”
He went on, saying, “There wasn’t a contract, just a mention. There were those moments, and we don’t talk about them on the show but with someone who’s been on the show. That’s what our podcast does.”
Now, Ben is happily married to his wife Jess Clarke Higgins and he and Ashley continue to love hosting their podcast together every week.
