Raven Gates Shares ‘Mixed Emotions’ About Becoming a Mom of 2 in 10 Days

Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Raven Gates Gottschalk on Season 21 of “The Bachelor” and on Season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” where she met her husband, Adam Gottschalk.
Raven and Adam are currently expecting their second child together, and the Bachelor Nation star just opened up about becoming a mom of two in a new Instagram post.
Alongside gorgeous family and maternity photos, Raven wrote, “10 days until we are a family of 4. Meaning 10 days until Gates is a big brother. (Or sooner!) As time ticks down as Gates’s last few days as the only child I have been having a lot of mixed emotions! I thought I would share some negative & positive ones! I know a lot of you probably can relate.”
Raven shared some of her both positive and negative feelings as she heads into this exciting next chapter.
She wrote out her worries first, saying, “Negative Thoughts: It’s unfair to this baby that I won’t get the one-on-one time like I did with Gates. It’s unfair to Gates that I now won’t always be one-on-one with him. I won’t be able to carry Gates after this c-section. He’s too little to understand. Will he start to resent me?”
Raven also shared her excited feelings, writing, “Positive Thoughts: When I close my eyes I dream about seeing my 2nd baby’s face and my heart could burst. I cry at the thought of holding both of my children on my lap. I’m so blessed to be able to have children. Thank you, God. Gates is going to be the best big brother. He is strong, fearless, and will lead the way for so many adventures to come for the both of them.”
The Bachelor Nation star concluded her post with a sweet message for her babies.
She said, “With conflicting emotions of mommy guilt and extreme happiness… I hope both of my children know… ‘I love you forever. I’ll like you for always. As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.’”
