Bachelor Nation Reacts to Gerry’s ‘Golden Bachelor’ Announcement: ‘Finally Someone I Can Relate To!’

Earlier this week, our very first Golden Bachelor was announced, and it’s none other than 71-year-old Gerry Turner.
The charming grandfather from Indiana is looking for love again after his wife Toni passed away six years ago.
Social media was bursting with excitement for our leading guy, including many of our favorite Bachelor Nation stars who welcomed Gerry with open arms.
Bachelor Nation took to Instagram to share their support and excitement for Gerry’s journey.
Michael Allio wrote, “Finally, someone I can relate to! Rooting for ya Gerry! Seriously excited for ‘Golden Bachelor’ to begin, it’s such a good idea.”
Adam Gottschalk chimed in, saying, “Ok, now how do we get a Golden version of Paradise too?!”
Sierra Jackson wrote, “I’d do the show again for Gerry!”
Wells Adams hilariously said, “I don’t love the fact that the Golden Bachelor has less grey hair than me…”
And host Jesse Palmer said, “I hope I look half that good when I’m 45!”
Sharleen Joynt and her husband Andy Levine shared a reaction video to the announcement and Andy said, “He’s a stud! I even like the song. They really did it! I wasn’t sure if it was a joke. That’s amazing, I’m very psyched. I’m 100% watching this, regardless of whether or not we recap it on our podcast.”
We couldn’t agree more with all the love for Gerry and can’t wait for his journey to begin this fall.
