Throwing it back!

Each week as we’re watching Charity Lawson’s love story unfold on “The Bachelorette,” we’re also looking back at some of our favorite Bachelorette moments.

This week in Bachelor Nation history, Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo got engaged in August 2017.

The couple reunited on a gorgeous mountaintop vineyard in La Rioja, Spain, for their epic proposal.

It was a beautiful windy day, and as Bryan approached Rachel, he said, “Rachel, when I first stepped out of that limo, I knew I was in for the ride of my life. When we first kissed, it was literally like a chemistry bomb had just exploded. I knew that very first night with 100% certainty in my heart that we could definitely be something special.”

He continued on and prepared for her response, saying, “You are everything I could ever want in a woman, a wife, the mother of my children. I am completely head over heels, totally and absolutely in love with you. I just hope you feel the same.”

Rachel finally got to share with Bryan how she truly felt about him, saying, “When I met you, it just seemed too perfect. I was trying to find cracks in what seemed like the perfect foundation. I really had to do some soul searching, deeper than I ever have before, to find the courage to challenge myself, but this love has been so mature.”

The Bachelorette went on, saying, “It’s tested me in ways that I couldn’t have even imagined. I always said that I would know that the person I’m supposed to be with is someone that I could never picture my life without, and so right here in the moment standing with you, I see my forever. I see my future. I just want to tell you that I love you and that I’m in love with you and I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.”

How sweet!

Then Bryan got down on one knee and said, “I am the best version of myself when I’m with you. You are so easy and effortless to love and I just want to love you for the rest of my life. Rachel Lynn Lindsay, will you be my reina forever? Will you marry me?”

Rachel said yes and then asked Bryan a question of her own, saying, “I gave you my first rose and I’m standing here giving you my last rose. Bryan, will you accept this rose?”

The two kissed and shared their love for each other in a sweet, intimate moment.
