Wedding bells are ringing!

Earlier this week, “Bachelor in Paradise” couple Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer got engaged!

Now, the couple is stopping by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast for an exclusive interview about their engagement.

The newly engaged pair chatted with co-hosts Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile about their proposal, and Abigail revealed she actually helped pick out her gorgeous 4-carat oval-shaped diamond ring.

Abi said, “We actually looked at rings together. We had a lot of talks about this. That’s why I said I kind of knew it was going to happen this year. Obviously, we talked about if we are ready to be engaged. He came to me and asked because I honestly had no idea what I wanted for a ring.”

She went on, sharing, “He was like, ‘Well, you’re the one that’s going to be wearing it, so I don’t want to get something that you don’t like.’ So we designed it together and that was it, that’s all I knew. After that, I didn’t get to know anything else from here on out. That was a few months ago.”

Noah shared why he included Abigail in the process and why it was helpful to have her help pick out her ring.

The Bachelor Nation star said, “At first, I was like, it was all secrecy, she can’t know anything. But then I would give her these little teasers, like, ‘Look at that ring,’ or I’d talk trash on another ring to see if she liked it or not. Then I was like, ‘This is dumb, I need to just include her. I don’t know why I have to keep this whole thing a secret. Let’s let her pick out three rings that she likes.’ She told me 85 rings that she doesn’t like and that wasn’t going to get me anywhere. I just included her in it.”

And while Abigail knew they’d get engaged eventually, she didn’t know when. She revealed she had actually already been thrown off once thinking it was coming earlier this year, but this week, she had no idea.

Abi explained, “The reason I didn’t think it was happening this time was because you weren’t doing anything suspicious. I was packing all week, trying to pack up the house, and Noah was just on the couch on his laptop. I was like, ‘Do you want to help? This is your stuff I’m packing.’ And he was like, ‘I’m busy. I’ll be there in a second.’ Two hours later, he was still on his laptop. Then I found out later that he was planning everything.”

So sneaky!

Noah shared how he was able to sneak away and call Abi’s parents to ask for their permission to marry her.

He said, “Then when I was going to do it, I already called her parents and gave them a date, so I had to do it on that date regardless. Her parents were so happy. They have been asking for the past year. They are amazing. I actually FaceTimed them and said, ‘I have to talk to you about Tulsa, but then I just group FaceTimed them both and was like, Hey, I’m not talking about Tulsa, I want to marry your daughter.’ They were like, ‘Yes!’ It was good.”
