Zac Clark Celebrates 12 Years of Continuous Sobriety: ‘If I Can Do It, You Can Do It’
Celebrating a major milestone.
Bachelor Nation met Zac Clark on Season 16 of “The Bachelorette,” and as fans remember, Zac shared his struggle with addiction and journey to sobriety with Tayshia on-screen.
Since his time on the show, Zac has continued to share resources for addiction, mental health, and more through his company Release Recovery Addiction Treatment Center.
Now, Zac himself is celebrating a major recovery milestone and shared on Instagram that he is officially 12 years sober.
In the video, Zac is holding up a sign that says “12 years sober” and he talks candidly about how far he’s come.
He said, “The thing that I am the most proud of in my life is my sobriety. Today marks 12 years of continuous sobriety. They promised me when I got sober that I would have a life beyond my wildest dreams and that has 100% been my experience.”
Zac went on, “It took a village. Thank you to every single person that helped me along the way. Change is possible. If I can do it, you can do it. Keep going.”
Many of Zac’s fellow Bachelor Nation stars shared their support and love in the comments of his post.
Jason Tartick wrote, “Congrats my man, 12 years for you and think about all the combined years of everything else you’ve impacted along the way.”
Jason Foster also said, “You are an inspiration my good friend. Keep up the amazing work and inspiring others. It’s a pleasure to be your friend.”
And Rodney Mathews wrote, “Congrats brother! Amazing.”
We couldn’t agree more with all the congrats and encouragement. We know that Zac continuing to share his story will help so many others.
Congrats on 12 years!
