Charity Lawson Receives One of Highest Scores on ‘DWTS’ After Partner Sits Out Due to COVID
Going for the Mirrorball!
During her “Bachelorette” season finale, it was announced that Charity Lawson would be joining Season 32 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
And earlier this month, it was revealed that the former Bachelorette is paired up with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev for the competition.
During Week 1, Charity and Artem received the highest score of the week and Charity called the entire experience a “dream.”
As they prepared for Week 2, Charity’s partner Artem tested positive for COVID-19 and wasn’t able to dance with her for Latin night.
The duo got some rehearsal in before Artem got sick and dancer Ezra Sosa stepped in and made his debut as a pro on “DWTS.”
Charity said, “Ezra is coming in with experience, so that’s great. The judges have really high expectations for me... I just hope I can do enough and be enough.”
After they performed their cha-cha, judge Derek Hough told Charity she did an “amazing job” after being thrown a “curveball,” and Carrie Ann Inaba praised Charity for working so well with a new partner.
And Charity responded to the judges, saying, “This just shows I can be thrown anything and I can overcome it.”
Charity and Ezra received a score of 21/30, the second-highest score of the week.
We can’t wait to see what Charity brings to the ballroom next week, and we’re hoping Artem is feeling better soon!
