Kevin Wendt Reveals How Many Kids He & Astrid Loch Want and What He Loves Most About His Wife

Bachelor Nation stars Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt met on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” and the two welcomed their first child together in 2021 and their second earlier this month.
The dad of two boys took to his Instagram Stories over the weekend for a Q&A about parenting, future planning, and more.
One fan asked if it was a bigger adjustment to go from zero to one child or from one to two kids.
Kevin got candid, saying, “It’s only been a week, but adding the second kid is wayyyy harder than having the first. Sleep when your baby sleeps is no longer a thing when the two year old wakes up at 6 a.m. and chooses chaos.”
He shared that he’s grateful to have paternity leave, saying, “I’m taking 33 weeks off this time around and we will spend time in Florida and Vancouver with family. We are so lucky in Canada for the way we treat our military and first responders. The best advice I got from senior firemen was to take all the time with fam you can, you can always get more but, but never more time.”
How sweet!
Kevin also opened up about if he and Astrid are hoping to have more children.
He said, “We go back and forth on this daily. We have one embryo left in the freezer and I doubt Astrid will go through another egg retrieval, so either two or three kids. We have been up since 3:45 a.m., so for today, two kids are enough lol.”
Kevin shared how sweet their son Auggy has been with his new baby brother Nash, saying, “It’s unbelievable how great he has been. He says baby all the time and gives Nash a kiss on his head.”
Another fan asked Kevin what his favorite thing about Astrid is and the Bachelor Nation star got emotional with his answer.
He said, “Too many things to count, but seeing her these last 23 months as a mom has been the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. The Wendt boys are a lucky bunch!”
