Bachelor Nation star Sydney Hightower Warner and her NFL star husband Fred Warner announced earlier this week that they are expecting their first baby together!

Now, Sydney took to Instagram for a Q&A about her pregnancy so far where she opened up about a complication she faced earlier in her pregnancy.

In her pregnancy announcement video, Sydney said, “The end of my first trimester and beginning weeks of my second, I was suffering from some complications. The baby is healthy and happy and fine, and that’s the most important thing. I was having some issues, though; I’ll get into that later. That was definitely the hardest part of all this, but we are out of the trenches with that. Since then, I’ve been so good and feeling amazing.”

And in her Q&A Sydney shared what was going on, saying, “Around week 14-17 I was having some really intense pain. I went to see my OB when it started and we got it under control for the time being. But around 16 weeks, it came back full force and one night I woke up in agonizing sheer pain unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.”

She continued on, sharing, “We called my OB who then told us to head to the ER! Everything with the baby cleared, but with me, long story short I’ve been having to see a pelvic floor therapist weekly to keep the pain and pelvis at bay. Pregnancy is wild guys!”

Sydney also shared that while she’s had a lot of anxiety about being pregnant, she just knew she was ready to expand her family.

She said, “I think I reached a point where I was ready when I realized that we both knew our marriage is our number one priority in life. We are stable and we are healthy within our marriage and our minds. Selfishly, I didn’t want to bring anyone else into our perfect little bubble. I was just so scared that anything additional would affect this incredible marriage that we have.”

Sydney went on, saying, “But after a lot of conversations, time, and growth, I realized that this is an addition! It’s not gonna take anything away, it’s only going to add to our love! [...] So once I realized that I can find a balance and do both, like be a great mom and a great wife, I decided to let him know I was ready!”
