Tyler Cameron Discusses Hannah Brown’s Special Bond with His Mom and How They Broke Each Other’s Hearts
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Tyler Cameron as he vied for Hannah Brown’s heart on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette.”
After the show, the two had their ups and downs and romance reconciliation rumors came and went.
Now, Tyler stopped by the “Not Skinny but Not Fat” podcast, where he got candid about his relationship with Hannah.
He told host Amanda Hirsch that he reconnected with Hannah while the show was still airing, saying, “The reconciliation with Hannah happened right before ‘After the Final Rose.’ I was driving back from a family trip and we talked for like two hours on the phone. She was like, ‘I want to ask you out,’ and we talked about it all. We caught up. I did feel like I would give it another go and wanted to. We tried a couple times.”
Amanda asked Tyler if he felt like he eventually broke Hannah’s heart back in the way that she first broke his.
He said, “I guess. I guess you could say that. I don’t know. We tried to reconcile really during COVID. My mom had passed away three weeks before that. My mom was obsessed with Hannah. It would piss me the hell off. I was like, ‘Mom, you always posting about her is only making it harder for me to live my own life because it was always becoming news stories.’ But she loved her and they would talk all the time. I didn’t really know that. She was so good to my mom.”
Tyler shared how his late mom’s love for Hannah inspired him to open up his heart to her again.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I remember it was day two of sitting next to the bed by my mom and I was thinking about Hannah and why my mom loved her. You just think about everything when sitting in that scenario. All of the sudden Hannah texted me. She heard the news and we had a long talk that night. Something happened with her family too, so we were leaning on each other. She wanted to come out for the funeral and it was a nice breath of fresh air.”
He went on, saying, “Then a week after the funeral, I got drunk and invited her back because I was feeling her, but then when she came back, it was too soon. I wanted her to come, but I didn’t realize how crazy it would be. I was still mourning my mom and then I threw myself into a house with eight people living at my mom’s house. It was a little three-bedroom and Hannah was in that mix.
“Then my street became a parade because everyone found out Hannah and Matt and everyone was there. Cars would just line up and drive by all day. We were living in a bubble and it was so much happening at once I couldn’t even figure out how to be friends with her.”
Tyler said while things didn’t work out for him and Hannah, he is grateful for her friendship and is truly so happy for her that she found love with her fiancé Adam Woolard.
