Congrats are in order for our Golden Bachelor!

Bachelor Nation fans have been watching Gerry Turner look for love on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor” and he’s finally found it!

During the season finale of “The Golden Bachelor,” Gerry proposed to Theresa in Costa Rica — and the two couldn’t be more in love.

As she approached Gerry on their final day filming, Theresa said, “Gerry, I know how sometimes it feels like the whole world thinks that love is only for the young. And quite honestly, at the age of 70, I was beginning to feel that myself. After Billy died, I was at the point where I thought I am going to live the rest of my life alone, until I met you.”

She continued on confessing her love sharing that, “I saw you smile and I thought oh my gosh, what am I feeling here? As time went on, I felt it more and more and more to the point where I am so madly in love with you Gerry. I feel that for us, life isn’t over, the best is yet to come. I think you are the most wonderful man in the world. Now that I found you, I don’t ever want to let you go. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

And Gerry reciprocated the feelings to his soon-to-be fiancée.

The Golden Bachelor said, “This morning, I had about a million different emotions going through my head. How did a guy from nowhere Indiana end up in Costa Rica in this beautiful setting at the age of 72 looking for love. Then I started thinking about that first night and with your entrance from the limo, I’d seen all of you. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case because there was so much more to discover. Then my thoughts went back to when we had that date at the diner.”

Gerry went on, adding, “The conversation was just about nonstop between the two of us. The most important part of the conversations were about how much in common we had with our pasts. When I woke up this morning, it was difficult. I had really mixed feelings. I got to the point with the questions with myself about how I got here and if she is the right girl and I came to the realization that you’re not the right person for me to live with. You’re the person that I can’t live without. Theresa, I love you 1000% and I’m never going to stop believing. Every day I choose you. Will you marry me?”

Theresa exclaimed “YES!” as she put the gorgeous Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger, and they were joined by Gerry’s daughters and granddaughters.

Now, there’s only one last thing to do… let’s get these two married on January 4!
