Jade Roper Tolbert Gets Emotional on Her Birthday About ‘Not Being Pregnant When I Should Be’

Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert first fell in love and got engaged on the beach during Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, they’ve welcomed three children together: Emerson, Brooks, and Reed.
And in August, the Bachelor Nation star took to social media to share the heartbreaking news that she was navigating a miscarriage.
At the time, Jade shared, “I’ve been trying to protect my peace and respect my baby, so I’ve only been sharing bits and pieces here and there to hopefully maybe help someone else feel less alone going through this. I see you, I feel your pain, and I love you. And to Beau, I carried your body for almost 5 months, your soul for a little less, but I carry you with me in my heart everywhere and for always.”
Now, Jade shared that her 37th birthday was bittersweet, as it didn’t look how she imagined it would.
After a day of sweet celebrations with her family, Jade took to Instagram to get candid and wrote, “I had a really great birthday yesterday, but I also want to be real. I had a really somber birthday. I thought the holidays were going to be hard, but they seem to be the only thing making things joyful for me right now.”
Jade went on, saying, “Turning another year older, not being pregnant when I should be was so tough yesterday. I had a few breakdowns and felt off most of the day until the kids were home from school. I think there’s so much pressure around birthdays and I just want to say it’s ok to be sad on your birthday too.”
The Bachelor Nation star also shared a DM from a follower who wrote, “You have three beautiful babies, stop trying,” and wrote, “WHAT NOT TO SAY.”
