EXCLUSIVE: Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Reveal What They Learned from First Marriages to Bring to Their Marriage

Bachelor Nation fans saw Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist find love and get engaged on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
During the “After the Final Rose” finale, the two announced that they are planning a wedding that will be broadcast for all of Bachelor Nation to enjoy.
Now, the soon-to-be married couple stopped by for an exclusive chat with BachelorNation.com, opening up about wedding planning, what they’re looking forward to, and more!
When asked what they learned from their first marriages that they will be bringing into this new relationship, Gerry and Theresa got candid.
Gerry said, “The better the communication, the better the relationship. Even if it’s an uncomfortable topic, you have to get past it. You have to find resolve and you have to find a way to talk about things.”
Theresa chimed in saying, “I would say pretty much the same thing. Don’t hold resentments, because it builds and becomes much bigger than it was originally. Talk to each other and not other people about your relationship, ever.”
She continued on sharing, “That pits you against them and no matter how difficult the topic is, you should be on the same team and you have to talk about it.”
