Nick Viall Interviews Gypsy Rose Blanchard in Her First Podcast Interview — Find Out What She Revealed
Getting candid.
Over the past few weeks since her release from prison, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been blowing up on social media and doing interviews with various news outlets.
For her very first podcast interview, Gypsy Rose and her husband Ryan Anderson stopped by “The Viall Files,” where she opened up to former Bachelor Nick Viall and his fiancée Natalie Joy.
Gypsy Rose is known for her involvement in the killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, in 2015.
Gypsy Rose and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, were convicted in 2016 for orchestrating the murder of Dee Dee, who had been manipulating Gypsy Rose’s life.
Dee Dee portrayed her daughter as terminally ill and Gypsy Rose suffered years of abuse due to Munchausen by proxy.
Gypsy Rose is finally free from prison after over eight years behind bars, and she opened up to Nick about being released.
She discussed getting to experience consensual intimacy for the first time with her husband, saying, “We had our first intimate moments as husband and wife. Got to consummate our marriage, which was great.”
Blanchard, who is a survivor of sexual assault, said the experience with her husband was “sweet” despite being her nervous.
She said, “I have scars on my body. In prison, it’s not like he got to see me before he married me. They say you gotta drink the milk before you buy the cow, and that didn’t happen for us, so I was extremely nervous. But then within 10 minutes, I was like, ‘Okay, this is happening,’ and I felt totally comfortable and totally safe.”
Gypsy Rose also opened up to Nick about whether she has any connection to her mom’s side of the family, and she said she is in contact with her cousin, tattoo artist Bobby Pitre.
She shared that she plans on seeing Bobby in a few weeks to get her first tattoo that’s representative of her healing journey.
Gypsy Rose revealed that she will be getting matching ink with her stepmom Kristy Blanchard and they are going to get unalome tattoos on the back of their necks.
She said, There’s this symbol, and it’s called a unalome. Basically, it’s a little squiggly line that basically means that the path to enlightenment and self-awareness is mixed with twists and turns, but it doesn’t make it any less beautiful.”
