Leslie Fhima Reveals How She Really Felt Watching Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Get Married

Bachelor Nation fans first met Leslie Fhima on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor” as she looked for love with Gerry Turner.
At the end of the season, it came down to Leslie and Theresa Nist in Costa Rica with Gerry as his final two.
The Golden Bachelor had to say an emotional goodbye to Leslie before getting on one knee to propose to Theresa.
Leslie was heartbroken, so many were surprised to see her in attendance at Gerry and Theresa’s wedding last week in Palm Springs.
The Bachelor Nation star opened up about why she decided to go and how it felt watching the two of them get married on this week’s episode of “The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast.”
Leslie said, “I had to process my heartbreak, and it took a while. But after that, I realized that, you know what, they’re probably perfect for each other. And I’m so happy that Theresa found love because that’s what we came for. And especially at our age, we wanted to show the world that you don’t give up if you’re 65 or 70. And she found her true love, and I can only support that.”
And the Golden Bachelor star clarified why she wanted to be there at the wedding in the first place.
Leslie shared, “No one made me come. Theresa invited me. I really thought, at the end of the day, we’re all here for one reason — to find love. Obviously, you know, I know it came down to one of us out of two. And Theresa and I were really good friends in the house, and we spent a lot of time together, and a lot of talks, and we really supported each other, and we laughed.”
The podcast’s hosts asked Leslie if there were any moments that felt uncomfortable to her and she got vulnerable with her answer.
Leslie revealed, “It was a little uncomfortable during the ceremony when they were talking about Costa Rica because I was there too, but it went in one ear and then went out. It was probably the only time it was really uncomfortable for me. But seeing Theresa so happy really kind of just took that away anyhow.”
