Bachelor Nation fans saw Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist find love and get engaged on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor.”

The two later tied the knot during the live “Golden Wedding” special that aired earlier this month.

Now, the couple is sitting down for their first podcast interview as husband and wife on “Bachelor Happy Hour,” where they opened up to Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

During their conversation, the newlyweds discussed having fellow Golden Bachelor star Susan Noles as their officiant and what it was like to have all of their fellow cast members (who also happen to be Gerry’s exes) at the wedding.

Theresa started off talking about how they chose Susan to marry them, saying, “It was such an easy decision. We wanted that so badly from the very beginning. We were dying to tell her, but we had to wait for a long time. It was unanimous; we wouldn’t have wanted it to be anyone else.”

And Gerry shared what that decision-making process was like with his now wife.

He said, “I remember the night that we were talking about it and I was a little apprehensive about bringing Susan up knowing it was a fellow previous contestant. I’m not even sure how it happened, but Theresa might have suggested Susan just about the same time I did when we were talking about an officiant.”

Gerry added, “There have been a lot of those moments with us where we have been in agreement without even much discussion. That has really helped a lot.”

Theresa shared, “She exceeded our expectations. I mean, how great was she?! She looked so beautiful, she dressed so appropriately, and did such a great job. She just made it.”

As for all the other Golden gals in attendance, the couple couldn’t have been happier to have them there, despite them being a bunch of Gerry’s exes.

Theresa said, “We loved having the other ‘Golden Bachelor’ ladies there too. It was absolutely spectacular. We wanted to have every single one of them there. We were all about it. There is lots of love amongst all of us. It’s an experience that’s so special to the people who were in the experience, so we love every single one of them. We talk to them all the time.”

And Gerry shared how having a lot of the cast at their wedding made him feel.

The former Golden Bachelor said, “I look back to the very first night when everyone got out of the limo. We had a cocktail party before anyone had to go home. It was one of the most joyous moments I had in the entire season because you could just feel the mutual respect, support, and love for each other. When we are together with those women now, whether that’s at our wedding or any other event, I have that feeling again. We have a bond now that will never be dismantled. It’s wonderful.”

We love how happy Gerry and Theresa are and can’t get enough of their newlywed bliss!
