Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Reveal How They Really Felt About Brayden & Christina’s Engagement at Their Wedding

Bachelor Nation fans saw Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist find love and get engaged on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
The two later tied the knot during the live “Golden Wedding” special that aired earlier this month.
Now, the couple is sitting down for their first podcast interview as husband and wife on “Bachelor Happy Hour,” where they opened up to Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.
Joe asked the newlyweds if they had any feelings about Brayden Bowers proposing to Christina Mandrell during their wedding day.
Gerry got candid with his answer, saying, “They called me. I heard a couple comments of people saying that was inappropriate or why steal the spotlight from the wedding. Brayden called me and he was very sincere and earnest about the request.”
The former Golden Bachelor went on, saying, “I consider him a pretty good friend. I talk to him and some of the other ‘Bachelor’ kids quite a bit. He was really earnest about the question. I told him that I would call Theresa and she said yes, so I buzzed him back quickly and I told him to go for it.”
And Theresa chimed in sharing how she felt about someone else getting down on one knee at her wedding.
She said, “They didn’t interfere with our wedding. That happened before we were even there. It was completely different than if they did it during the ceremony. It was just so cute; I loved getting to watch it. It was great. I say live and let live. The more love the merrier!”
Gerry said, “It was just an added excitement! It was really a well thought out and well put together day.”
We couldn’t agree more and love all the love for both happy couples on that special day.
