Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon Are Expecting Baby #2: ‘I Am 13 Weeks Today!’
Growing family!
As Bachelor Nation fans know, Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti first met on Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2015.
The two got engaged on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” and tied the knot in August 2019.
Since then, they’ve welcomed their son Dawson into their lives and now, they are expecting baby number two!
The couple took to Amazon Live to share the exciting news. Ashley said, “We have a big announcement — Dawson is going to be a big brother! I’m pregnant. Big brother! I am 13 weeks today.”
Jared chimed in, adding, “Yes, we’re super excited to announce that Ashley is pregnant!”
The couple also spoke to People magazine about their next bundle of joy, with Ashley also admitting that she’s “overwhelmed as hell” as she’s preparing to welcome another baby.
Jared shared why they decided to have another child, saying, “We want Dawson to have a sibling. That's very important. Both of us come from families with two kids. So, we wanted to give that to Dawson. I want that big family dynamic, but man, having so many kids is just so overwhelming. So even the idea of a second kid, it's no longer two-on-one where we can play defense against him. Now it's just one-on-one.”
Dawson, who turns 2 later this month, is still figuring out the whole “big brother” thing.
Ashley shared, “I try to teach him, 'Where's the baby? It's in the belly!' Sometimes I'm like, 'Where's the baby?' And he'll point to his belly. So, he doesn't get that it's my belly. He has been extremely, even more so of a mommy's boy since this child has been in my belly.”
And as for how Ashley’s feeling, she is very grateful that this pregnancy has “been a lot easier than the other one.”
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I'm just so freaking grateful that I'm not experiencing that. I haven't been great. I don't like the feeling of being pregnant. I never want to feel this again. Just don't like it.”
The two don’t know the gender quite yet, but say they will be happy either way.
We are so happy for Ashley and Jared and we can’t wait to meet the newest Haibon later this year! Congrats to their entire adorable family.
