‘The Bachelor’s’ Daisy Thanks Bachelor Nation for Support and Hopes Others ‘Feel a Little More Seen’
Feeling grateful.
Bachelor Nation fans are getting to know Daisy on Joey’s season of “The Bachelor,” and last night she received the first one-on-one date.
The two went on a romantic helicopter ride to a music festival where they got to dance onstage and share countless sweet moments.
Daisy and Joey later enjoyed a candlelit dinner where Daisy opened up about her difficult medical history.
She shared with Joey that she became extremely ill from Lyme disease and eventually lost her hearing.
Thankfully, she was able to receive a special treatment in Germany that got her feeling better and recently was able to get a cochlear implant for her hearing loss.
Daisy revealed that sharing her story with Joey was the first time she really opened up to someone on a first date about her challenging last few years.
Both Joey and Bachelor Nation showered Daisy in so much love and support for sharing her story.
Daisy took to Instagram to thank fans for the outpouring of kindness she received after their date aired.
Alongside a photo of her and Joey, Daisy wrote, “I want to thank you all for being so kind and receptive of my story. The support I’ve been receiving has completely blown me away. My story is my personal experience and no path is the same, but I hope one person felt a little less alone, a little more understood, a little more seen.”
The Bachelor Nation star continued on, saying, “I want to thank @bachelorabc @bachelornation @abcnetwork for allowing me to share part of my story in the best way possible. I will always be thankful for that day and the support I felt from the girls in the house, Joey, the producers, the people behind the cameras, mics, and everyone involved. It was one of the most uplifting days of my life & changed my confidence in a way I can’t explain.”
Daisy encouraged fans to continue to show the same kind love to all of the other women that share their stories as the season unfolds.
She ended her post by writing, “It’s all about the love and how we express that love to others.”
We love seeing Daisy’s journey to find love unfold and we can’t wait to learn more about her as she and Joey continue to get to know each other.
For more from Daisy, make sure to tune in to “The Bachelor” on Monday nights on ABC or stream later on Hulu.
