EXCLUSIVE: Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Share First Valentine’s Day Plans and What They Love About Each Other
Celebrating love on their first Valentine’s Day!
Bachelor Nation fans saw Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist find love and get engaged on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
The two later tied the knot during the live “Golden Wedding” special that aired earlier this month.
Now, the couple is getting ready to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day as a couple and stopped by for an exclusive chat with BachelorNation.com.
During their chat, Gerry and Theresa revealed what they love most about each other, with Gerry saying, “I love how kind and sensitive she is with everyone she meets.”
And Theresa chimed in, sharing, “I love that Gerry will always stand up for his beliefs and he is so genuine.”
How sweet!
They also revealed some sweet gestures they enjoy doing for each other, with Gerry sharing that he loves buying her jewelry “for no reason” and Theresa loves cooking Gerry a late-night meal.
Speaking of cooking, Gerry loves Theresa’s cooking skills and said he particularly enjoys it when she makes salmon, roasted sweet potatoes, and roasted cauliflower.
The two shared their plans for their Valentine’s Day date night dinner and wanted to share the recipe with Bachelor Nation.

Gerry & Theresa’s Valentine’s Day Aloha Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 10 oz. chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked white rice
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1 diced red bell pepper
- 1 20 oz. can pineapple tidbits with juice
- 1 1/2 lbs. chicken diced to bite size
- Cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
- Set the oven to 425 degrees.
- Spray a 11-by-17 dish with cooking oil of your choice.
- Mix sugar, soy, garlic, and broth.
- Add rice, onion, red pepper, and pineapple with juice.
- Pour into the dish and cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for 50 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and stir.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and top with chopped cilantro.
- Eat and enjoy with your love!
