Kaity Biggar Reveals Why Fiancé Zach Shallcross Was Rushed to the Hospital in Dubai
Scary story!
Bachelor Nation fan favorite couple Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross got engaged on Season 27 of “The Bachelor” and have been living together in Austin, Texas ever since.
The two just got back from a trip to Dubai and Kaity took to TikTok to share a scary story from their time overseas.
She shared that they loved their trip to Dubai and they stayed at the most beautiful hotel but, “Not all of it was rainbows and butterflies.”
Kaity mentioned that she got a stomach bug and was feeling sick for the majority of their trip.
She explained, “On the very last day, I was so depleted of electrolytes, I couldn’t drink anything. Everything came up, so I wasn’t hydrated and I started to feel light headed and dizzy."
She wanted to have one night where they could go out to dinner and made a reservation at Nobu, but things took a turn.
Kaity shared how Zach ended up in the hospital, saying, “I go down to the clinic in the hotel and tell them how I’m feeling. They said they were going to set me up with an IV and I went into this hospital looking bed. This needle they used was ginormous and it was a huge gadget looking thing and it was not a typical American or Canadian looking IV.”
She went on, sharing, “The nurse who was doing my IV was fishing around and couldn’t get it in the vein. I have Zach right by my side supporting me saying you’ve got this! They finally get the IV in and I look up for a split second and Zach is about to hit the ground. He totally just passed out and smacks his head on the cement floor. He ends up bleeding everywhere and goes unconscious.”
Kaity said that Zach’s blood pressure and heart rate were both very low so they needed to take him to the hospital.
She said, “I was a fiancée, a nurse, and a patient all at once in this moment. So then Zach gets rushed to the Dubai hospital. From there he got a CT scan and thankfully there was no bleeding in his brain and everything was fine. They were going to do stitches, but they ended up just derma bonding, which is just glue for the back of his head.”
Kaity took care of Zach after they got back from the hospital, and his head has since healed up fine.
We are so glad both Kaity and Zach are ok and still had a nice vacation – what a scary series of events!
