Rachel Nance Reveals If She Saw Her Breakup with Joey Graziadei Coming and Where She’s At Now
Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Rachel Nance look for love with Joey Graziadei on Season 28 of “The Bachelor” and the two reconnected for the first time since their split this week.
Rachel and Joey reunited at “Women Tell All” and reflected on their time together. Since then, Rachel stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to chat about her journey on the show.
Rachel shared that while her and Joey’s breakup was emotional, she had a gut feeling that she wouldn’t be receiving a rose in Tulum.
She said, “I think towards the end, he and I both knew that that was as far as our relationship was going to go. I think my favorite memory is he and I parting ways because you can’t force anything and we both gave it our all. I know we both still care about each other and respect each other. I keep saying we’re friends. I’m so glad I can be friends with my ex. That’s a beautiful thing.”
Co-hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt asked Rachel more about how she knew she’d be going home that week.
The Bachelor Nation star shared, “I knew that I was going to go home. It was so emotional because I came so far with him and we were pretty much at the end... there was just an unspoken understanding that this was the end for us. The tears that you saw were all real because not hearing my name called, I felt like our friendship was also over and I had no say in it.”
Rachel said she considered not coming to the Rose Ceremony after Fantasy Suites because she knew she wouldn’t be moving forward.
She explained, “A part of me knew that I was going to go home, so maybe I shouldn’t go to the Rose Ceremony, I thought that to myself. But I didn’t want to take away the joy and happiness of hearing their names being called for the other two women. I love and respect them so much and felt like it would be a disservice.”
Rachel went on, saying, “That’s also why I was crying, I knew it was going to happen but it really was my favorite moment of he and I. There was so much love there, even just platonic love. It was still hard to watch back.”
And when it came to “Women Tell All,” Rachel said that she wasn’t nervous to see Joey again.
She shared, “We both didn’t need additional closure, we knew it was the end. I could feel that calmness when we saw each other and there was just so much love.”
Joe and Serena asked Rachel where she’s at today and if she plans on getting right back into dating.
She said, “I am so happy with where I am in life right now. For a lot of us who are single in our mid or late 20s think we’re behind, but I’m like girl you can literally do whatever you want. I’m sure you still can if you are with somebody, but for now, I am taking a step back from the dating world. I’m not opposed to meeting someone, but my standards are very high.”
Rachel concluded, saying, “I mean, who can top a date in Spain? If you can meet my standards, give me a call. I definitely need space right now, I am focused for now on relaxing and touching grass and visiting my family to take a break from everything. But I’m still open!”
