Bachelor Nation Reacts to Jenn Tran’s Bachelorette Announcement: ‘First Asian American Bachelorette, Let’s Go!’
Making history!
Last night during “The Bachelor” season finale, Jenn Tran was announced as the Season 21 Bachelorette.
During the live show, Jenn shared what it means to her to be the first Asian American lead of the show.
She said, “I'm overwhelmed, it's crazy. It feels so surreal to be sitting here. I feel so so grateful to be the first Asian American lead. Growing up, I always wanted to see Asian representation on TV. Now, to be here today... being like, 'I am going to be the main character in my story,' I can't help but think of how many people I'm inspiring and how many lives I can impact.”
Many of Jenn’s fellow Bachelor Nation stars shared in her excitement over this historic moment.
Bachelor Nation star Caila Quinn took to her stories and shared that she was in tears over the news.
She wrote, “I am SO happy to see an Asian Bachelorette! Jenn is so witty, independent, strong, and smart. I’m just SO happy for her! I never thought I’d see Bachelor Nation help an Asian lead find love, but here they are making history and it’s amazing! Thank you Bachelor and Bachelorette! I am already so excited to watch you find love Jenn! Will always root for you!”
Maria Georgas also chimed in, sharing how excited she is for her friend.
She wrote, “When I tell you how happy I am for her, you best believe it. We were there for each other always. So I’ll be cheering her on every step of the way. She deserves this moment and it’s HERS. The representation alone is doing so many little girls proud who can look up and see a beautiful Asian woman bless our screens. You go Jenn! Go get your man!!!”
Jill Chin also took to Twitter, writing, “First Asian American Bachelorette, let’s go!!! I love you Jenn!”
We love seeing all the love for our girl Jenn and couldn’t agree more.
We can’t wait to watch her journey unfold later this year!
