Joey Graziadei & Kelsey Anderson Discuss Their Engagement and Why Joey Thought She Might Say No
Dishing the details!
Bachelor Nation fans saw Joey Graziadei propose to Kelsey Anderson on last night’s finale of “The Bachelor.”
The two couldn’t be more in love and now stopped by for a candid conversation with Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.
Joe and Serena asked if they were both feeling confident going into that last day and Joey was honest with them.
He said, “I would say that I still had that, ‘Wow is this going to be it?’ feeling, but I was confident. Our last night that we had together was so great. I was now in a different position and I was reassuring her a lot through that time. I was trying to stay strong and confident and be like if you want to be here, I want to be here.”
The Bachelor went on, saying, “I feel like any guy who gets down on one knee has that thought in the back of their head wondering if she was going to say yes.”
Kelsey also opened up about how she was feeling and shared that she actually got lost while walking to the proposal.
She said, “It was very surreal. I was telling all my friends when going on the show that I might be back next week. I was like don’t worry, I’ll probably be right back. I went on thinking that it would probably be a really cool life experience and I was open to the process and it worked out perfectly for me. I’m just really happy where we are. It’s funny because when I was walking up to Joey at the end, I couldn’t find him. I was looking everywhere.”
Joey chimed in, saying that moment when Kelsey couldn’t find her way made him panic.
He said, “I actually had some doubts about that because she wasn’t looking at me! I was like this is going to be bad all of a sudden… She kept looking back at production and I was wondering if something was going to happen.”
Kelsey added, “I was looking at them asking where I was going, but I found him and we made it through, thank goodness.”
Joe and Serena also asked Kelsey how she felt about Daisy coming to chat with her and telling her she knew it wasn’t her.
Kelsey said, “I know that Daisy had really good intentions and I think that it did take a little bit of the stress off my shoulders going in. I appreciate Daisy and think that she’s a wonderful woman.”
We couldn’t be happier for Joey and Kelsey and are wishing them all the best in this exciting next chapter together!
