Kelsey Anderson Reveals If She Regrets Leaving Joey Graziadei the ‘We Need to Talk’ Note
Looking back.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Kelsey Anderson find love and get engaged to Joey Graziadei on Season 28 of “The Bachelor.”
Now, the couple stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast where co-hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt asked about Kelsey’s ominous note she left during Fantasy Suite week.
As fans remember, Kelsey left Joey a note in his door that said, “we need to talk” and Joey immediately got a pit in his stomach.
Kelsey shared her explanation for the note and how she would have written it better, saying, “I didn’t have a whole lot of time to write a long note, so I just wanted to use a couple of words. I could’ve written more. I could’ve added a little heart or a happy face. I could’ve made it a little bit better. It’s hard!”
And when Kelsey saw Joey, she knew her note didn’t translate the way she was hoping.
She said, “I saw him open the door and saw his face and immediately my heart dropped because I saw his face and I felt sick to my stomach. I felt like it looked like I was playing games and I’m not. I just wanted to tell him that I wanted to meet his family and I’m excited about that given the chance. I didn’t say that during our time together.”
Joey chimed in and provided a little context about why Kelsey might have felt the need to talk to him.
He said, “We had a conversation off camera and I said I can’t wait for you to meet my family and she was kind of upset saying you can’t promise me anything. And so her reaction wasn’t negative, but she couldn’t really look ahead to that and then when she sat with it, she wished she said she was excited to meet my family too.”
Joey went on, saying, “I think that was what was sitting with her and why she wanted to talk to me, which makes total sense and I think you’re completely right, I don’t know what else she should’ve written. It just wasn’t a good note to get regardless.”
Kelsey said she’s still thinking about how she would rewrite it, but is glad the two were able to work through it.
And now they couldn’t be happier together! Looks like it all worked out in the end.
