Ashley Iaconetti Reveals If She & Jared Haibon Want More Kids or Would ‘Try For a Girl’
Keeping it real.
As Bachelor Nation fans know, Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti first met on Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2015.
The two got engaged on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” and tied the knot in August 2019.
Since then, they’ve welcomed son Dawson into their lives, and now they are expecting baby boy number two.
During a recent Q&A on Instagram, a fan asked Ashley, as a fellow boy mom, if she is being asked if she should try for a girl while still pregnant.
Ashley responded, saying, “Yes, I am being told this and no, I will not. I had a very brief cry when I found out it was another boy because in that moment I also found out I’ll never have a mother-daughter relationship, which I cherish so much with my mom.”
She went on, saying, “But I’m very happy with my two boys and done! Also, fully convinced a third would be another boy!”
Ashley shared some of the baby names they're thinking about using for their second son.
She said, "We still haven't agreed on anything! Ahh! My name list includes Dominick (my dad and grandpa's name), Preston, Presley, Ezra, and Hockley.
Ashley also opened up about her journey trying to conceive her two babies.
She said, “Dawson took seven months to conceive and baby two took two months. I had a chemical pregnancy the first month.”
Ashley shared that chemical pregnancies happen so early that most people who miscarry don’t realize it.
She added, “I did get a positive test that month and then I started bleeding a few days later. I knew what was happening within an hour or so because a close friend also had a chemical pregnancy. I was sad for a few days, but it was month one and my midwife was encouraging, saying that often you’ll get pregnant the next month. It’s almost like your body is in prepare mode.”
We are so excited for Ashley and Jared that they have another little boy on the way and we can’t wait to meet him this summer.
