Charity Lawson Opens Up About Recent Plastic Surgery Experience: ‘I Wanted to Clear the Air’
Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko fall in love and get engaged on Season 20 of “The Bachelorette.”
The two have been enjoying life in New York City as an engaged couple since and sharing their updates with us on social media.
This week, Charity took to TikTok to get candid about a recent procedure she underwent.
She had shared that she was in recovery, but up until now hadn’t shared what for.
Now, the former Bachelorette was ready to share and said, “I wanted to clear the air and talk about what I was in recovery for. There has been a lot of speculation and a lot of you have reached out to me sending me really encouraging, uplifting messages and not even knowing what was going on, which I truly really do appreciate. It shows your sincerity. No one knew and here I am to talk about it.”
She continued, “Before I dive into it, I want to preface this entire conversation and video saying that I want to be the person who is being transparent and normalizing these experiences that so many of us go through but feel like we can’t talk about out of fear of judgment. I am the first to say that I was very fearful of that.”
Charity went on, saying, “It’s 2024 and if you ain’t living your life for you at this point, I don’t know what else to tell you. With that being said, I was in recovery because I got my girlies done. I’ll show them off a little bit. They are one week post op as you can see. Even if I turn to the side, it’s still in proportion with my frame. I’m very petite and tiny and I knew that going in. So I didn’t want it to look like ‘oh my gosh, this girl got her titties done.’ I wanted it to look very natural and I wanted it really just for me.”
She shared that getting a breast augmentation was something she’s wanted to do for herself for a long time and she’s really glad she did it.
Charity thanked her doctor Dr. Daniel Barrett in Beverly Hills and shared that she was already up and moving around day two.
She said, “We’re healing well. I was able to fly back to New York for New York Bridal week and now I’m back in LA. So I probably should hang tight on flying so much, but just got things to do. It’s the best decision that I’ve made for myself in a hot minute. I’m really proud and I’m really happy.”
We are so happy for Charity that she is healing well and we love how candid she continues to be about her life. We know her honesty will continue to help and inspire others.
