EXCLUSIVE: Tyler Cameron Reveals If It’s Awkward Reuniting with Ex Hannah Brown: ‘A Little Tense at First’
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Tyler Cameron look for love on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette” with leading lady Hannah Brown.
And while the two are exes, they recently reunited for a special project on Tyler’s new show, “Going Home with Tyler Cameron.”
In the show, Tyler follows his dream of starting his own construction and home renovation company in his hometown of Jupiter, Florida.
In addition to renovating Jupiter residences, Tyler also takes on the very personal project of renovating his late mother’s home for his family.
Tyler leans on his tight-knit community for support, including fellow Bachelor Nation stars like Matt James, Rachael Kirkconnell, Jason Tartick, and his ex Hannah.
During BachelorNation.com’s exclusive interview with Tyler, he revealed whether it’s awkward reuniting with Hannah for projects like this given their romantic history.
He said, “We definitely have to work it out. It can be a little tense at first, but it works itself out. Someone has to crack the first joke and break the ice. Usually that’s me and she’s like, ‘Dang it, Tyler!’ and then we get rolling. It’s just me doing something stupid and she just rolls her eyes at me.”
Tyler also opened up about his late mom Andrea Cameron’s love for his ex Hannah.
He said, “My mom loved Hannah. When there were times that me and Hannah weren’t cool or weren’t talking, Hannah and my mom were talking. She always was Hannah’s biggest fan, so she would’ve loved for Hannah to be a part of this, and she was. So I think my mom would be proud of us putting our differences aside to do something great together.”
Tyler went on, saying that Matt also “spent so much time at my mom’s house and with my mom that I thought it would be special for him to be a part of this too and to have him and Rachael there.”
The Bachelor Nation fan favorite shared how he decided to reach out to Hannah to work on the show with him in the first place.
Tyler said, “I was in a little bit of a predicament. I needed a designer and my designer couldn’t take on any more workload. I knew our clients Karen and Dan — Karen loves ‘The Bachelorette,’ that’s how she found me — and she loved Hannah. I thought maybe if I get Hannah, that’s someone she loves. And Hannah overdelivered. She was incredible and the design was amazing. She just crushed it for Karen.”
And if Tyler were to do a Season 2 of “Going Home,” he hopes to have more of his Bachelor Nation family on in the future.
He said, “Hannah would be great to work with again. She was a great designer and I would love to see her work on some more projects with us. I would also love to work with Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin. Maybe they could get a little summer/vacation home in Jupiter, Florida, that I could help them with. Also, JoJo Fletcher is a designer and I would love to do something with her too. I think she is incredible, so those are some of my top picks!”
