Sarah Herron Shares a Trick to Know If You ‘REALLY’ Like a Baby Name as She Tries Out Names for Babies
Words of wisdom!
Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
In September, after many highs and lows of her IVF journey, Sarah revealed that she and her husband Dylan Brown were expecting a baby boy.
Then last year, Sarah took to Instagram to share the tragic news that their baby boy Oliver passed away shortly after he was born prematurely at 24 weeks.
After her pregnancy loss, Sarah eventually did more rounds of IVF and this time, the Bachelor Nation star took to Instagram in January to share the exciting news that she’s pregnant with twin girls.
Now, Sarah is trying out names for her baby girls and revealed her secret to finding out if the name is the right fit.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I shared a few baby names with my best friend the other day and told her that I worried what other people might think. It’s not like I want to name our daughters Apple and North or anything, but it feels like such a vulnerable, permanent thing to name a person these days!”
Then, Sarah shared the tip her friend told her when it comes to picking names.
She said, “She told me the true litmus test for how you feel about a name is to use it next time you order at Starbucks. Or, stand in your backyard and shout the name out like you’re calling the kids to dinner. How does it make you feel to say it out loud?”
Sarah revealed that trying this exercise “immediately took 99.9% of the names I thought I liked off my list.”
Then, she shared a video of herself calling in a breakfast order and got to try out one of their names in real time.
She said, “I will say it’s a really interesting exercise, but if you like a name that means something to you, and you have connection with it, take this litmus test with a grain of salt. Also, if you don’t feel connected to ANY names during your pregnancy, that’s ok too. It does not mean you aren’t connected to your babies. It will all come as it’s supposed to. And at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about the name you choose for your baby.”
We love this advice! Any future mamas-to-be going to try it out? Let us know in the comments!
