Danielle Maltby Reveals the Meaning Behind Her New Tattoo: ‘Breakups, Big Moves, Life Changes’
New ink!
Bachelor Nation fans saw Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby find love and leave the beach together on Season 8 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
And last year, Danielle moved to Cleveland to be closer to Michael and his son James.
Then in September, fans were shocked to learn that the couple had broken up after Michael shared the news on a podcast.
Danielle recently opened up about their split in an interview with Cleveland Magazine, and now she’s chatting about her new tattoo to honor this chapter of her life.
The Bachelor Nation star shared photos on Instagram of her new tattoo, which says, “And then she…” in cursive on the outside of her wrist.
Danielle shared the meaning of the tattoo alongside the photos, writing, “I've had a few DM’s and messages about my new tattoo so here we go. Breakups, big moves, life changes, death, new jobs, new beginnings are just these massive plot twists in our lives. Looking back on all these things that have challenged my story and character arc (go with the analogy here) I just kept leaning into ‘and then what?’ And then what did I do?”
Danielle revealed exactly what she did over the course of the past few months.
She said, “And then she… broke. And then she felt everything all at once. And then she found sparks of joy. And then she washed her hair. And then she smiled. And then she made someone else smile. And then she hurt again. And then she thanked god she wasn’t with him. And then she got a new job. And then she moved. And then she started surviving.”
She continued, “And then she started thriving. And then she went on vacation alone. And then she found herself. And then she fell in love with everything and herself. And then she shown brighter, and brighter, and brighter And then she… ??? There’s always an ‘and then…’ to our stories. They’re constantly being written.”
Danielle thanked her tattoo artist Lexi Kip for the gorgeous new ink. We love this message and how vulnerable Danielle continues to be — we know it’s helping countless other people.
