Celebrating love!

Bachelor Nation stars JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers famously found love and got engaged on Season 12 of “The Bachelorette” about six years ago.

The two tied the knot in 2022 in a beautiful ceremony in front of their family and friends in Santa Ynez, California.

Now, Jordan is taking a walk down memory lane and reflecting as he and JoJo celebrate eight years together.

Alongside a video of moments from their proposal day in Thailand, Jordan wrote, “8 years ago today. I remember this day vividly…I was nervous, anxious, excited, sick to my stomach. Ready to ask the girl I was in love with to spend the rest of her life with me. My suit had been on for hours, I was sitting on the balcony of my hotel room in Thailand, sweating, with this little notebook I had bought at the street market a few days earlier.”

Jordan shared what was in his notebook, writing, “Every page was scribbled with different notes, things I loved about JoJo, some of my favorite memories of the short time we had spent together, a long list of qualities she possessed that I was looking for in a wife, and about a dozen half written half crossed out proposal ideas as I tried to sort out exactly what I wanted to tell her and how I wanted to ask her to marry me. We had known each other for almost nine weeks at this point, by reality tv standards a lifetime, but in my head I was struggling with how fast and how quickly everything had happened.”

While Jordan said he struggled with what to say and how to say it, he looked out at the ocean and immediately felt peace fall over him when thinking about JoJo.

He wrote, “She was my person. I knew it in my heart. I could second guess how fast it happened, how it happened on reality tv, or whether she was actually going to pick me (oh yeah by the way there was still another guy in the picture lol), but in my gut I knew I never wanted to spend another day without her.

“So I took one last look at the ring, squeezed it into my way too tight tailored pants (long story involving a seamstress in Bangkok and a big language barrier) and told myself whether she picks me or not I want her to know how truly amazing she is, and how l lucky I would be to spend the rest of my life with her.”

And the Bachelor Nation star concluded his post, “As we arrived at the beach I could’ve sworn I was too early for the sunset shot (the proposal golden hour) so as took the long walk to her I thought I was getting dumped. And just as I reached for the ring and started to get on a knee she stopped me (in my mind she was about to break it off), and FINALLY told me she loved me (she tried one time, I missed the sign…that’s a whole other story). The rest is history. It’s rare you find your best friend on a reality tv show. But I did. Always will be the best decision I (we) ever made. I love you forever.”
