Pride Month Is Here! Celebrating LGBTQ+ Bachelor Nation Stars and Their Stories
Celebrating pride!
LGBTQ+ Pride Month is celebrated every June to honor and commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City, which was a major tipping point for the LGBTQ+ movement in the United States.
Now, as we honor Pride Month, we are celebrating some of the members of Bachelor Nation who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community and their stories.
Check out what they’ve shared and ways to get involved this Pride Month below!

Becca went public with her relationship with singer Hayley Kiyoko in 2022. The two have now been dating for over six years and couldn’t be more in love. Shortly after their relationship announcement, Becca took to Instagram to thank fans for their support, writing, “I have been crying on and off all day. I don’t know that I can properly form adequate words to express how much the love and support means, but I just wanted to say thank you.” On her podcast “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad,” Becca said that while she doesn’t necessarily identify with a specific label for her sexuality, she is in love with Hayley and has been open about hoping to marry her someday. We love their love!
Demi Burnett

During Season 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” Demi Burnett got candid about her sexuality, saying, “I have been kind of seeing someone. Of course — plot twist — it happens to be a woman. It’s not something that I need to label, so I feel like I don’t have to proclaim that I am gay, I am straight, I am bisexual, I am this. I just like who I like. It doesn’t matter who or what you are, it’s the person.” She continued on, adding, “My situation is really unique. I’m fluid. I like both genders and ultimately I am trying to be open and figure out what I want.” Demi ended up getting engaged to her girlfriend Kristian Haggerty at the end of the season. The two made history as the first same-sex couple in Bachelor Nation. They eventually went their separate ways, but Demi continues to be open about her sexuality on both her podcast “Demigoddess” and on social media.
Spoiler alert: I’m a queer queen 👸🏼💕🌈 #BachelorInParadise

Fans first met Bachelor Nation star Alexa Caves on Season 24 of “The Bachelor,” and while the show was airing, she took to social media to address questions about her sexuality. Alexa took to her Instagram Story and wrote, “The amount of people that ask me about my sexuality in my DM’s is crazy. LOL, I’ve been getting it since the first episode. It is by far the question I get asked the most. I’m fluid. I’ve been with women and I’ve been with men. I’m open minded.” Alexa went on, saying, “To me this really isn’t a big deal. People in my life know this about me. But I thought that I’d share this because some people are curious and I’m not ashamed of who I am.”
Jaimi King

Jaimi King first appeared on Season 21 of “The Bachelor” and made history as the first openly LGBTQ+ contestant on The Bachelor in the U.S. She opened up about her sexuality on air during a conversation with Nick Viall about her past relationship with a woman. Jaimi later went on to appear on “Bachelor in Paradise” and has continued to be open about her sexuality throughout the years. During an interview with Refinery 29, Jaimi got candid, saying, “I never liked labels… I guess it basically is bisexual. But I don’t want to narrow myself down to two sexes or genders. ‘Fluid’ would be more open to everything — not just male or female.” She continued on, saying, “‘Bisexual’ is fine, though, and I think everyone in the LBGTQIA community is trying to bring bisexual back to a positive connotation, so I will definitely keep going with the bisexual label and try to bring it back to a positive light as much as I can.”

Former Bachelor Colton Underwood shared his coming out story with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” in April 2021. At the time, Colton said, “Obviously, this year’s been a lot for a lot of people — and it’s probably made a lot of people look at themselves in the mirror and figure out who they are and what they’ve been running from or what they’ve been putting off in their lives. And, for me, I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time,” said the former Bachelor. “And I’m gay.” He added, “I came to terms with that earlier this year and I have been processing it. The next step in all of this was letting people know. I’m still nervous, but, yeah, it’s been a journey for sure.” Now, Colton is married to his husband Jordan Brown and the two are getting ready to start the next chapter of their lives as they will welcome a baby boy this fall!

The two ended up going their separate ways, and at the time, Kristian took to Instagram and wrote, “We have felt so much love and support from you all as you’ve followed our journey together and for that we are grateful. We will forever be proud of the impact our love story has made and we hope it has helped others feel more accepted and confident within themselves. Gabby Windey
Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Gabby Windey on Season 26 of “The Bachelor” and Season 19 of “The Bachelorette.” Since her time on the shows, she found love with her girlfriend Robby Hoffman and publicly came out last summer. The two have been enjoying their lives together in Los Angeles and traveling the world together. During our exclusive interview with the couple, Gabby opened up about coming out in her 30's saying, "I questioned it a lot coming out later, but I also think it was kind of a blessing because I had life experience that you don’t have when you’re younger. Robby had a terrible coming out story from when she was 17 and she went through so much scrutiny. So being an adult, I can stand on my own a little bit more. It’s less about labels and what my sexuality is and more that I just fell in love. So yes, I was exploring, but there was something about our connection that was really special."
Jasmine Goode
Bachelor Nation fans first met Jasmine Goode on Season 21 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” After her time on the shows, Jasmine found love off-screen with girlfriend Melissa Marie and the two have been sharing their lives in L.A. together on social media. The couple is now appearing on another reality show, "The Valley," and they even got matching tattoos while filming.
Elizabeth Corrigan
During 2022 Pride, Elizabeth Corrigan from Season 26 of “The Bachelor” just publicly shared her story for the first time. The Bachelor Nation star was in New York City to celebrate Pride and shared a candid Instagram post from the parade. Alongside photos in a rainbow top, Elizabeth wrote, “It’s hard to know the right way to say these things, or the right time. Today seems like both and neither. Waking up this morning to my first Pride in NYC I was so excited. I sprung out of bed, went to get a coffee-bought a flag- and quickly began feeling anxious. Overwhelmingly so. Am I ready? No. Am I scared? Yes. Will ‘the right time’ come? Qualify it. It’s important to me today to share with you all that I am queer. More specifically I am, always have been, and always will be-bisexual.”
