Raven Gates Shares Why She & Adam Gottschalk Had a ‘Divorce Plan’ Before Getting Married

Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Raven Gates Gottschalk on Season 21 of “The Bachelor” and on Season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” where she met her husband, Adam Gottschalk.
The two welcomed their son Gates in January 2022 and their second baby boy, Max, in July 2023.
Now, the mom of two is opening up about her marriage with Adam in a new Instagram Q&A.
A fan asked Raven the most important things to discuss before getting married and she started off by saying, “I don’t have all the answers, but everything.”
The Bachelor Nation star went on, saying, “I would also look up ‘top reasons for divorce’ and start planning on what you can do to PREVENT yourselves from getting there. That’s what I did, along with other things.”
Raven shared why she decided to look into reasons for divorce before getting married.
She said, “While you can’t really predict what will happen (good or bad) in your life together, you can pinpoint some weak spots and strengths and really focus in on the two to make your marriage better. For example, Adam and I never want to divorce (I mean, what couple does?), but what’s the plan if we did? Then, the next step is how do we PREVENT ourselves from ever using our divorce plan.”
Raven added, “There’s too much to type out to explain what I mean, but if you can find your strengths and weaknesses, you can navigate the unpredictable in your relationship.”
