Rachel Recchia Reveals Why She’s Getting a Revision to Her Breast Reduction Surgery

If you’ve been keeping up with former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia over the past year, you’ve seen her document her breast reduction surgery journey.
Rachel has been candid with her hundreds of thousands of followers about why she wanted to get this surgery and how the healing process was.
Now, over a year later, she took to Instagram to share why she’s getting the surgery redone later this summer.
Rachel opened up during a recent Q&A on her Instagram Stories, saying, “I’ve been holding off on telling you guys, but I am actually getting a revision on my reduction in August. I am so happy with the results of my first reduction, but a year later I decided to correct some regrowth I’ve experienced naturally.”
A fan followed up asking Rachel about why she is getting the revision and what happened to cause the tissue regrowth.
She said, “When I got my first surgery, I got so many messages from women saying that they had to get a second reduction/lift done due to breast tissue growing back. The reality is that even with the perfect surgery, tissue can just naturally grow back.”
The former Bachelorette went on, sharing, “So many things can factor into that like pregnancy, weight gain, hormones, etc. My surgeon was always vocal about this in the beginning, since they cannot guarantee that you’ll stay the same size.”
Rachel explained that she decided to get more of a reduction after losing more weight and noticing regrowth during that process.
She said, “I’m also definitely looking into my hormones to see if that could be the issue for me too. I have been able to connect with so many of you by being open with this process, so I want to be honest with you all and show everyone that it isn’t always perfect!”
