See the Drama Coming Up on ‘The Bachelorette’ and Why Jenn Realizes ‘I Have to Choose Myself’
Love and drama incoming!
Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” just kicked off and we couldn’t be more excited for our leading lady Jenn Tran.
After her first night, she and her remaining men are heading straight to Melbourne, Australia, for an adventure of a lifetime.
Night 1 left Jenn feeling hopeful, and in the teaser for the season, she says, “I feel it. I’m going to fall in love and I feel like my person is here. I am going to get engaged and I’m going to do it my way. I’m so excited and I’m so ready to find love. I feel hopeful that I can find someone who supports me, who understands me, who values me, and who makes me feel like the best version of me.”
We see her going on a series of romantic, thrilling dates, like skydiving and sharing intimate kisses in the rain.
The guys immediately start gushing over Jenn, with Hakeem saying, “Jenn is truly a woman of every man’s dreams. She’s beautiful, she’s kind, she’s intelligent,” and Sam M. adding, “I’ve been doing nothing but falling in love with you since the first time we had a conversation.”
There are some special cameos from Bachelor Nation royalty like Charity Lawson, Trista Sutter, Kelsey Anderson, and Daisy Kent.
Jenn is heard saying, “I feel so seen by you and I feel like you’re someone who gets me and that’s not an easy feeling to come by.”
And Devin tells Jenn, “I feel very close to you, even in moments where I don’t feel like I know myself, I feel like I’m able to find that because of you. I’m falling for you and I’m not afraid to say it.”
It all seems to be going swimmingly, so Jenn asks, “What could go wrong?”
Then, we see an ex from her past show up and she tells the guys, “This morning, someone from my past flew all the way here. He wants to be with me and he wants to join this journey. I have dated a lot of toxic men in my past, so I am nervous that history will repeat itself. I just don’t want to choose the wrong person again.”
Aaron also tells Jenn that some guys aren’t here for the right reasons as drama heats up between Thomas N. and Sam N.
We see Jenn hit a breaking point during the season and she gets emotional as she says, “Maybe it’s not in the cards for me to find somebody. I feel like I’m not good enough. I also see a future in which I end up alone. I don’t like being vulnerable, but I feel like it’s right to let them in on who I really am.”
She goes on, saying, “I don’t know how to be in a healthy relationship; I don’t know how to be what you need me to be. I feel like my whole life I have been chasing the wrong people and the wrong feelings. I felt like I couldn’t be myself. I’m done letting men dictate my relationships.”
Then, host Jesse Palmer sits down with Jenn and asks, “No Bachelorette has ever done this before. Are you sure you want to do this?”
She responds, “I have to choose myself. What I’m about to do today is something that I never thought I would ever do starting this journey. I know what I want and I know what I deserve and I have to do what’s right for me.”
We can’t wait to watch it all unfold and see how Jenn’s journey ends! Make sure to tune in to “The Bachelorette” every Monday on ABC or stream later on Hulu.
