20 Questions with Brett: Find Out Where He Sees Himself in 5 Years and His Hidden Talent
Fans got to know Brett on Jenn’s seasons of “The Bachelorette,” and now he’s opening up exclusively to BachelorNation.com, answering 20 rapid-fire questions.
Get to know Brett a little better below!
1. A taboo topic I love talking about is: It’s sad that this has become a shame to like and enjoy… but when I tell people I enjoy the band Creed, I get asked if it’s an ironic enjoyment. It’s not an ironic enjoyment! Creed IS GOOD! Catch me singing Creed on karaoke — it’s pure passion.
2. I think a celebrity couple that is the definition of #relationshipgoals is: It’s gotta be Jason and Kylie Kelce. Jason has done more for the offensive linemen of the world than he needed to. Jason, if you’re reading this, thank you.
3. My guilty pleasure is: A good coffee. Every once in a while, I’ll go get a nice fancy coffee from a coffee shop and I call it my “bougie coffee Saturday.” I’ll order it online so I don’t have to say my order out loud in public, but best believe I’m getting cold foam on that son of a gun.
4. The best relationship advice I ever received was: “At some point, it should just be easy.”
5. My zodiac sign is ___________ and my most [insert zodiac sign] trait would be: I’ve got to stick with to my values here… I’m a Libra, but I have never gotten into the zodiac signs, so I’m not too sure what a Libra trait would be… Hopefully someone out there is reading this and saying, “What a total Libra move.”
6. My biggest pet peeve is: Something fires me up about people that don’t use their turn signals. I’ll be having the best day imaginable, but if someone doesn’t inform me of their automotive intentions, it ruins it all.
7. The first thing I do when I wake up is: Technically I open my eyes, but after that I pet my dog and ask her how she slept. She never answers, but I don’t take it to heart.
8. My last meal on earth would be: Maryland crab dip. And miss me with the imitation crab.
9. The song that always gets me pumped up is: You can probably just look at me and tell this, but “Beer Never Broke My Heart” by Luke Combs always does the trick.
10. My hidden talent is: I can do a split. Even with that, though, I just don’t think gymnastics was ever in the cards for me…
11. The person that inspires me the most is: My dad. Whether they were helpful life lessons or complete and utter BS, his wisdom has stuck with me from a child to the man I am now.
12. The movie I’ve rewatched the most is: It’s a weird answer but it’s “Tropic Thunder.” My brother and I only had that movie in the summer of 2009 and we watched it every night. Got that script down word for word.
13. The most famous person who has slid into my DMs/followed me on social media is: Probably my friend Kevin. He’s not famous or anything, but he sends some pretty good Instagram Reels. Not sure what celebrity is gonna be able to top that.
14. My favorite part of being on “The Bachelorette” was: The experience as a whole. Lame answer, but it was cool to meet a bunch of awesome people and get me out of my comfort zone.
15. Being on “The Bachelorette” taught me: That I have a great support system around me! I truly have surrounded myself with good friends, good co-workers, and good family, and I’m happy to have them be a reflection of myself.
16. My celebrity crush is: Kate Upton will always have my heart in the utmost respectful way to her and Mr. Verlander.
17. My advice for anyone who goes on “The Bachelorette” is: Have fun. It can definitely be a lot if you take it too seriously. Things are going to shake out how they shake out and the only thing you can do is control your attitude toward it all. It’s supposed to be a fun experience!
18. If I had to hang out with only three people from Bachelor Nation for the rest of my life, it would be: Jesse Palmer, number one. I was cheesing ear to ear when I finally saw him in person. I’m not too familiar with the Bachelor Nation, so I apologize to anyone cool I don’t include! But I watched Joey’s season and he made me feel like he was even listening to me during those episodes… I’ll leave it up to Bachelor Nation to make my third choice!
19. When Bachelor Nation fans approach me in person and/or online, the first question they ask is: I have been getting told I look like “Wreck-It Ralph,” which is funny to me because I do unintentionally break things and have been referred to as “Break-It Brett” in the past.
20. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I have absolutely no clue! If you would have asked me 5 years ago if I’d be where I’m at currently, I would have called you crazy! Looking forward to whatever is coming my way the next 5 years and whatever it is, I’ll face it with a smile.
