20 Questions with Mark: Find Out His Hidden Talent and Which Famous Person He Would Love to Meet
Fans are getting to know Mark on Joan Vassos’ season of “The Golden Bachelorette,” and now he’s opening up exclusively to BachelorNation.com, answering 20 rapid-fire questions.
Get to know Mark a little better below!
1. A taboo topic I love talking about is: Should the toilet paper roll pull from the top or the bottom? I go with the patent drawings to support where I sit on the subject.
2. I think a celebrity couple that is the definition of #relationshipgoals is: I believe that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have made a great example of how two people can grow a flourishing relationship. They each have very challenging careers that don’t really seem to blend so well on the surface, but they are willing to support and make the effort for each other... #themgoals
3. My guilty pleasure is: My pleasure is food... Guilty is all things food! Thankfully I have developed a little restraint, as I am now able to back away slowly, but I do capture a photo to enjoy it more later!
4. The best relationship advice I ever received was: Just be yourself. Do not try to be something or someone you are not — it isn’t fair to yourself or your partner.
5. My zodiac sign is ___________ and my most [insert zodiac sign] trait would be: I am a Taurus; my most Taurus trait is patience. I believe that I have grown into the trait. There are those that might say I am (or was) impatient at times, but for the most part, I am patient.
6. My hidden talent is: Christmas cookie baking. It’s grown into a pretty extensive lineup.
7. The first thing I do when I wake up is: I start my day with a smile. People will normally smile back if you share one with them. It doesn’t cost a thing, it is multilingual, and multicultural to share a smile, and it will change a mood in an instant.
8. My last meal on earth would be: My last meal would be a buffet. (That’s a trick question. It’s like asking what someone’s favorite song is...) Why pick just one? Just enjoy it all!
9. The song that always makes me want to dance is: “The Mates of Soul” by Taylor John Williams. Give it a listen and tell me it’s not smooth!
10. The person that inspires me the most is: My mom, who at 87 gets up and goes to work. She is independent, travels, and actively enjoys life. She has been a daily inspiration to what life is about: family, fun, and making memories!
11. The movie I’ve rewatched the most is: I’d have to say either “Elf” or “It’s a Wonderful Life.” They’re watched every Christmas and I sneak them in throughout the year too.
12. The most famous person who I’d love to meet is: I would love to meet Sofía Vergara. I don’t know why she doesn’t have a voice package for GPS — I would buy it twice just to drive around lost!
13. My favorite emoji is: The laughing face with tears. Share that joy!
14. My favorite part of being on “The Golden Bachelorette” was: EVERYTHING! I had an incredible opportunity to meet a beautiful woman inside and out. Joan is an amazing woman who, with grace and poise, guided us all on her journey to find love. I have created a bond with some fantastic men that I am honored to have met and shared the experience with. I believe that I am a better man, better friend, and will be a better partner because of it.
15. Being on “The Golden Bachelorette” taught me: No matter what it is, there are people in this world that are going through the same thing. You are not alone. I feel blessed to have met such fantastic men. We were all in the same boat, although we may have used a different dock to get in the boat. I have learned to open up, speak freely, and most of all not to be afraid to share myself.
16. My advice for anyone who goes on “The Golden Bachelorette” in the future is: Be open and be authentic. It is hard to imagine how having a mansion full of men all there to date the same woman could be a positive environment. The search for love is an incredible, life-enriching experience that should be approached with an “all-in” attitude.
17. If I had to hang out with only three people from Bachelor Nation for the rest of my life, it would be: If I had to? I would hang out with each and every person from Bachelor Nation and enjoy every minute for the rest of my life! But to narrow it down, I’d start with my fellow “Golden Bachelorette” men, then I would also add Kelsey, Joey, and of course all the “Golden Bachelor” women, and… it’s too difficult to limit to three!
18. When Bachelor Nation fans approach me in person and/or online, the first question they ask is: How are Joey and Kelsey doing? I am always happy to say that they are doing great, out living their best life!
19. Something I still have from my time on “The Golden Bachelorette” is: I have rose petals from each of the Rose Ceremonies I was there for. (The Rose Ceremony roses took a beating in my luggage despite my best efforts to keep them whole.)
20. Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years, I see myself traveling with a partner, enjoying our family, and having a love that fills me with joy, that warms me from deep inside, and makes my life bright.
