Wedding bells are ringing! 

Bachelor Nation fans first met Katie Thurston on Season 25 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Season 17 of “The Bachelorette” as the leading lady.

Since her time on the shows, Katie has been keeping fans updated with her life on social media, and earlier this year, she hard launched her love with fellow comedian Jeff Arcuri. 

The two have been going strong since announcing their relationship, and Katie recently shared that she and Jeff are engaged! 

Now, the Bachelor Nation star has taken to social media to share details about their upcoming engagement party and to ask for party planning tips.

Katie shared that the first thing she and her fiancé decided to plan related to the wedding is an engagement party for Jeff’s family in Michigan. 

The Bachelor Nation star explained how she flew out last week to surprise them and looked at three possible venues for the party. And while the first two were busts, the third venue was exactly what she was envisioning. 

“When we showed up you guys, I could cry,” Katie said, “I walked into this room and I was like. ‘I could picture the family here hanging and having a good time.’”

She then went on to share more details of what their engagement party will include. 

She explained that the event will begin with a cocktail hour that provides drinks and appetizers for the guests. And then everyone will transition into a dining hall for dinner, where a two-star Michelin chef will give individual orders based on a menu that she and Jeff pick in advance. 

The bride-to-be buzzed with excitement as she talked about how the venue’s offerings were not only very affordable but also exactly what she’d been looking for.

“We found a spot that matches the needs and now we can kind of start focusing on some of the other extras,” Katie shared. 

The Bachelor Nation star specified that the extras she’s debating, including are décor, flowers, a photo booth, guest book, party favors, and more. 

In her video, she asks her followers to provide their feedback and said, “What did you do at your engagement party that you loved, hated, and regretted? I just want to hear your stories.” 

Katie then admits how much planning she now realizes goes into these types of celebrations.

“It’s a lot,” she stated, “and at the end of the day, all things related to your celebration of love comes down to what you want to do… It’s a big party of love.” 

Before ending the video, the former Bachelorette also revealed some exciting news about the engagement party. 

“I did find a dress,” she shared. “It’s so cute and I think I’ll be able to wear it to other events like New Year’s. I could even wear it to a bachelorette party. I could repurpose this dress many times!” 

While Katie hasn’t updated fans on finding her wedding dress yet, getting her engagement party dress is an exciting step in finding her bridal wardrobe.
