Joan Vassos Hosts Prom for Seniors in an Assisted Living Facility: ‘This Is My First Prom’
An event to remember.
Joan Vassos’ journey to find love on “The Golden Bachelorette” has finally begun and her season is underway.
This week, Joan and her men got to go to prom once again on the very first group date of the season.
From dance battles to photo booths and spiking the punch bowl, it looked like everyone had a great time.
And prom king Jonathan revealed that he never got to go to his senior prom in high school, so this was an amazing first for him.
To celebrate that sweet moment and having attended the first-ever Golden prom, Joan decided to bring that same experience to folks off-screen.
Our Golden Bachelorette visited Bristal Assisted Living where they were having their very own senior Golden prom.
The facility was decorated in giant gold balloons, streamers, gold centerpieces on the tables, and a fun backdrop with giant lit-up letters that spelled out “prom.”
They also had a prom court, delicious finger foods, and a huge charcuterie spread that seemed to be a big hit!
Joan chatted with all of the folks at the assisted living facility and took photos with their prom queen and king, who revealed that he also never went to his high school prom.
“This is my first prom,” he said.
Another dance attendee said, “I didn’t expect this. The food is good, and the costumes are lovely.”
Everyone got to watch the premiere of “The Golden Bachelorette” together, and in reflecting on her interaction with Joan, the prom queen said, “So friendly, so warm, so nice. I can see why you picked her.”
So sweet!
