Sarah Herron Shares Update on Parenting with a Limb Difference: ‘I’m Learning How to Do Things My Way’
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
After many highs and lows of her IVF journey, Sarah shared a few months ago that she and her husband Dylan Brown have welcomed twin girls.
The Bachelor Nation star took to Instagram to introduce the world to her two little miracles, Evy and Coco.
The little ones spent four weeks in the NICU, as they were born at 32 weeks, but finally got to go home last month!
Now, Sarah has taken to Instagram to give an update on parenting her newborn twins with her limb difference.
In a new video posted online, the new mom of two gave a glimpse into how she gets her girls up from nap time on her own. She revealed in the video, “Like everything else… one at a time.”
The video shows Sarah carefully picking up and changing one of her twin girls, while the other is cradled against her chest in a baby carrier. It then ends with her rocking both Evy and Coco as Sarah smiles at the camera.
Alongside the sweet video, The Bachelor Nation star wrote, “The babies are almost 3 months old now which means we’re kind of starting to figure out this whole twin newborn thing… sorta.”
She also revealed some recent struggles with parenting as her husband has become increasingly busy.
Sarah said, “As work demands are calling my husband back to the field, I’m home alone with the babies a few days a week now. So, as a mom of twins I’m learning the systems of solo parenting (times two), and as a mom with a physical disability, I’m learning how to do things my way — with one hand.”
She shared her new system by saying, “For the most part, the trick is really just a lot of props, taking my time (deep breaths) and setting myself up ahead of time, to the best of my ability with props and carriers. But, like anything else I have faced in life with one hand, you just take it one thing at a time.”
Sarah then ended her caption, teasing that there might be more videos down the road. She said, “Stay tuned for part 2 of this video and I’ll show you how I feed the twins when I’m by myself!”
The Bachelor Nation star received a lot of love on her post and the comments were filled with words of support.
Influencer Chelsea Culbertson expressed, “You’re super mom for reaaaalll😍.”
Fellow Bachelor Nation star Jade Roper Tolbert wrote, “Rockin’ it!! ❤️❤️.”
And one follower said, “You do more with one hand than I could ever do with two. You are absolutely incredible and an inspiration. Thank you for sharing with us.”
We could agree more!
We love seeing all the love for Sarah and couldn’t be happier for her and her entire family as they navigate this exciting new chapter.
