Former Bachelorette Clare Crawley got engaged to Ryan Dawkins in October 2022, shortly after introducing him to Bachelor Nation a month prior.

Early last year, the two officially tied the knot and welcomed a beautiful baby girl via surrogate in January 2024. 

This week, Clare has taken to Instagram to reveal the surprising news that she and Ryan haven’t officially been married until now. 

Clare kept teasing on her Instagram Story about her and Ryan getting married again, leaving fans with questions. 

Now, the Bachelor Nation star has shared their story online and revealed what actually happened. 

Alongside a cute photo of the couple underneath a giant red heart, Clare wrote, “Story time❤️ When Ryan and I started planning our wedding in 2023 one of the most important parts was for my mom to be able to witness us get married.”

She explained, “She has late stage dementia, so our time is limited and precious. But just as soon as we started planning it, she got really really sick to the point where she might not make it through. So without skipping a beat we threw all the plans to the wind and within the week my amazing event planning husband pulled together the most perfect intimate ceremony.”

The bride-to-be-again then explained how quickly things moved in their lives after their intimate wedding. 

“It was truly perfect in every way and my beautiful mother was able to see us on our wedding day. I truly couldn’t have asked for anything more special,” she expressed, “Soon after that, we found out we were having our miracle Rowen and closing on our dream house all within the next few months, and life got crazy!”

Clare continued, “I prayed every day that my strong mama would be able to somehow hang on to see ME become a mama, and Rowen could meet her namesake. It felt like a miracle when that happened. Cut to now- my mama is still holding on strong.”

The Bachelor Nation star then revealed that it wasn’t until a few months ago that she and her husband discovered that they never actually got their marriage license due to the craziness of the year. 

So the couple decided to have some fun while they got their marriage license. 

“We decided since the first ceremony was so sentimental and perfect, that we would just have a blast getting our actual marriage license and make it the most fun love filled day ever! So we did Vegas!!” Clare wrote. 

She then shared everything that they did while in Vegas and how they got their license in style. 

“We did Pink Cadillac, Little White Chapel, and obviously Elvis was our officiant!!” Clare said, “We had the time of our lives and your girl is OFFICIALLY Mrs. Dawkins!”

The Bachelor Nation star also shared a sweet video of them dancing while getting ready and wrote, “I choose you over and over.”

We love Clare and Ryan’s love for each other and can’t wait for all that the future holds for them.
