EXCLUSIVE: Jesse Palmer Shares the Inspiration for J. Palmer, His Elevated Sports Apparel Line
Fashion forward!
Bachelor Nation first met Jesse Palmer as the lead on Season 5 of “The Bachelor,” and he’s remained a loyal member of Bachelor Nation ever since.
From seasoned football analyst and former professional football player, to now being the host of our beloved shows, Jesse has done a lot of amazing things.
And now, the Bachelor Nation host just added another title to his résumé — apparel designer.
Jesse recently launched his elevated sports apparel line “J. Palmer” in partnership with Fanatics, and sat down with BachelorNation.com for an exclusive interview to discuss his inspiration and creation process.
Check out our full conversation with Jesse below.
Bachelor Nation: Congratulations on your brand-new apparel line, J. Palmer — it looks amazing! Did you ever imagine yourself one day having your very own clothing line?
Jesse Palmer: Never in my wildest dreams! Being drafted by the New York Giants was momentous for me, because that was when I really began to tap into my love and passion for men’s clothing. I was exposed to the fashion of Fifth Ave., Madison Ave., and SoHo. I began to travel internationally and see how men were dressing throughout Europe and Asia and my interest in men’s clothing has continued on ever since.
BN: That’s amazing! Was there a specific inspiration that you kept in mind while designing each piece in your collection?
JP: Yeah! I'm a very busy guy and I’m constantly on the go. I imagined that if I were packing a duffel bag for a trip, what articles of clothing would I pack? The J. Palmer collection encompasses 13 essential and versatile pieces that can be worn at home, to the gym, to the office, for a drink after work with colleagues, to the big game, or on a date with your significant other. I wanted a contemporary aesthetic without compromising on quality and feel. Sustainability in fabrics and packaging was also very important to me.
BN: Absolutely, and we love how versatile and high quality all the pieces are. Do you think you’ll design something for women’s clothing in the future?
JP: I have to learn to “crawl before I walk” but designing a line of women’s clothing is definitely something I am open to in the future!
BN: What do you envision for J. Palmer? What are some of your hopes and dreams for the line?
JP: I envision J. Palmer pushing boundaries and elevating sports apparel, crossing over into different sports and leagues outside of only football. I want fans in any sport to be able to rep their team in a sleek and understated way. The industry is filled with clothing that is loud, and bright and in your face. J. Palmer allows fans to demonstrate their “fandom” without compromising their style.
BN: Love that! What would you say was the most exciting and challenging part in creating this brand?
JP: The most exciting part was actually seeing the vision come to life! The first time I tried on the line, I felt as if I was putting on my football jersey for the first time! So much hard work by so many people went into this. The most challenging part was limiting the line to 13 pieces, but I am adding new items and styles for the 2025 collection and can’t wait for sports fans to see them!
BN: We can’t wait to see them either! Will we see you wearing any J. Palmer pieces while hosting for Bachelor Nation?
JP: Of course! The beauty of J. Palmer is that it isn’t just athleisure-wear. The line also features dress shirts, sweaters, and blazers, so I absolutely will be wearing some items to work!
BN: That’s great! We’re looking forward to seeing those pieces showcased. Thank you for chatting with us today!
