Kelsey Anderson Emotionally Remembers Her Mom for Breast Cancer Awareness: ‘My Mom Was the Most Amazing Human’
Honoring loved ones.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Kelsey Anderson find love and get engaged to Joey Graziadei on Season 28 of “The Bachelor.”
During her time on the show, Kelsey opened up about her late mother, who passed away in 2018 after being diagnosed with breast cancer that metastasized to her bones.
Now in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kelsey has taken to social media to share about a special project she’s been working on.
In a new TikTok, she said, “I’m excited to talk about something that I’ve been working on for a little bit with ‘Little Words Project’ and ‘F Cancer.’ I am partnering with them and making this bracelet in honor of my mom, Denise Anderson, who passed away six years ago from breast cancer.”
Kelsey then got emotional as she explained more about the meaning behind the bracelet she created.
She shared, “I made this bracelet in honor of her and I chose the word ‘always’ because my mom will always be with me, and I will always do whatever I can to help fight this battle of cancer, and how many lives it affects.”
Kelsey got vulnerable and opened up more about why this project is so important to her.
She said, “When I went on ‘The Bachelor’ and I talked about my story of losing my mom, it really broke my heart to see how many people resonated with my story. I wish that nobody had to feel this pain of losing a loved one to cancer.”
The Bachelor Nation star also explained more about why she chose the word “always” for her bracelet while reflecting on her mom.
“I also chose the word ‘always’ because my mom was the most amazing human,” Kelsey expressed, “She spread light and positivity and kindness to all the people around her. She was always laughing and always dancing, and I just want to remind people to always spread kindness and joy and to always find the light in the dark places. That’s what my mom always did. And from the absolute bottom of my heart, f- cancer.”
Kelsey then shared photos of her mom and wrote, “Denise Ann Anderson ❤️ Always ❤️”
She also shared in her caption that the proceeds from bracelet purchases are going to cancer research.
Kelsey wrote, “The proceeds are going to F Cancer, a nonprofit that focuses on prevention, early detection and supporting people affected by cancer!”
What a special way for Kelsey to honor her mom for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re continuing to send love to Kelsey, her family, and to anyone who’s ever been affected by breast cancer.
