Catherine Lowe Reveals What Happened Off-Camera with Sean Lowe Before He Proposed

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Lowe famously found love and got engaged on Season 17 of “The Bachelor.”
Over the past 12 years, the two have gotten married and welcomed three adorable children into their family — Samuel, Isaiah, and Mia.
Now, Catherine has taken to Instagram to share about an off-camera moment she and Sean shared the day before he proposed in Thailand, in honor of his birthday.
Alongside photos of the two of them over the years, she wrote, “It was the day before I was to find out whether I would be engaged or not and our final date was over. We were in Thailand and I was overwhelmed with how much I loved him. He left and I cried on the bed alone while the cameras captured my emotions. Two minutes later, a knock on the door.”
Catherine then shared a surprising moment she did not expect.
She said, “A chuckling Sean was at the door and no cameras this time. I was so confused because he was laughing, he was confused because I was crying. He came back because when it was midnight (maybe 15 minutes from when he knocked) it would be his birthday and he wanted me to be the person to spend the first minutes of his birthday with him.”
Revealing how much that moment meant to her, Catherine stated that it was what carried her to the proposal.
“Even though he wouldn’t spend the majority of his day with me, giving me that time would prove to carry me to the end,” she said, “The day after his birthday, he proposed and so every year, the 16th and 17th of November are just so precious to me.”
Catherine then finished her post with a sweet love note to Sean to wish him a happy birthday.
She expressed, “I love this man and am so grateful to spend every birthday until the end of time with him. Here are the photos of the past 12 of his birthdays together :) Happy birthday my love ❤️”
