He popped the question!  

Bachelor Nation fans saw former Bachelorette Michelle Young look for love on Season 18 of “The Bachelorette” and Season 25 of “The Bachelor.”

While finding love on-screen didn’t work out for Michelle in the long run, last October, she hard launched her relationship with her boyfriend Jack Leius. 

The two have been going strong for a while, and even teased fans multiple times about a possible engagement, leaving followers to wonder when a proposal was going to happen. 

Now, the couple has finally shared the exciting news that they are officially engaged! 

The new fiancés opened up to People magazine about the grand proposal and spilled details of how Jack caught Michelle completely by surprise when he popped the question. 

Michelle shared that she showed up to Centennial Lakes in Edina, Minnesota, thinking she was going to be filming a commercial with one of her favorite brands. 

Michelle’s management team even sent a fake contract for her to sign as well as lines to memorize, and the Bachelor Nation star stated she was “really excited” for the opportunity. 

However, it was all a ruse so Jack could actually get down on one knee and ask Michelle to marry him. 

She shared that when she was escorted to “the set,” she was so confused to see Jack standing there. 

Michelle said, “I completely froze when I saw Jack standing in the middle of this beautiful flower arch of white roses… I was fooled so badly that for a moment I thought the joke was that Jack was one of the male models that I would be working with at the shoot.” 

But then Jack popped the question and Michelle cried happy tears while saying yes. 

She expressed, “I tried to say yes several times but was in shock that no words really came out. There were a lot of happy tears and of course I said YES!"

Jack also shared that he really had to test his acting skills while planning the proposal because Michelle is not easily surprised and he was worried she would catch on. 

“The biggest worry for me was that her intuition really does catch on to everything," he said. "There were so many moments we crossed that we thought she might catch on."

The newly engaged couple also revealed that they had a small party afterward to celebrate with their close friends and family, which was another surprise for Michelle.
