’Tis the season!

Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt found love and got engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Since then, the two moved into their first home together in New York City and got married in a beautiful ceremony in Charleston, South Carolina.

The couple also currently co-host the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast together and are kicking off the holiday season by answering some fun and festive questions. 

Serena started off by asking the first question, which is, “If you were a lead on ‘The Bachelor’ and your season was during the holidays, what kind of dates would you want to do?” 

Joe immediately answered, “I would probably do like a carriage ride around Central Park. That would be one of mine. And then we’d get off and there would be like a hot cocoa stand, and we’d have some hot chocolate and we’d get back on [the carriage]. And then afterwards we’d probably go over to the Plaza and look at the tree and then probably just have dinner.” 

Serena said she would choose a similar date and revealed that Joe’s date idea sounds very familiar. 

“This actually sounds like what we do every year,” she said. “Joe and I will have a Christmas date day where we’ll go to Central Park. We went skating one year… and we’ll do a Christmas activity. And there’s a Christmas market we’ll go to.” 

The pair then moved on to the second question, which focused on their favorite family holiday tradition. 

Serena answered, “I have two. One is my grandma makes handmade gingerbread houses every single year. She buys all the ingredients and she custom builds these gingerbread houses out of homemade gingerbread… And my other one is, my family always does cinnamon buns on Christmas morning and I just really love cinnamon buns and I love waking up and having cinnamon buns with coffee.” 

Joe gave two answers as well, but one for Thanksgiving and the other for Christmas.

He said, “My mother makes those crab and cheese crackers for Thanksgiving. I really like those… cheesy crab puffs, that’s what they are. And we watch football and I really enjoy that. That’s the Thanksgiving holiday. Christmas, we don’t have just one single tradition. I think it’s really just, I enjoy Christmas Eve. I like Christmas Eve.” 

Joe and Serena then answered which holiday gift game they like better, Secret Santa or White Elephant.

“Oh, my gosh, I mean Secret Santa’s so much better,” Joe stated. “White Elephant’s rude! Secret Santa is fun because it’s exciting and you’re surprising the person, and you’ve given it thought. You really want them to like what you got them. Secret Santa for sure.”

Serena agreed and said, “I think so too. White Elephant’s really fun, but you can’t personalize or customize your gift for anyone.”
