Bachelor Nation fans got to know Kelley Flanagan on Season 24 of “The Bachelor” as she looked for love with Peter Weber. 

The two reconnected and dated after filming but ultimately called it quits after around three years of being on and off.

Last year, Kelley moved on to a new relationship and took her romance public with her boyfriend, entrepreneur Ari Raptis.

However, last month she revealed on an interview with "Chicks in the Office" that she and Ari had broken up after she found out that he was cheating on her. 

Now, she’s taken to her Instagram Story to share a heartbreaking health update about her dad and loved ones. 

Over a photo she wrote, “When it rains, it pours. Two days ago, I flew up to Chicago for a funeral of a sweet girl that left this earth at only 33 years young. I was fortunate enough to watch her marry the love of her life last year in Italy. As I was on the flight, I got a message from my family that my dad was going to the hospital due to a severe pneumonia…He was semi-ok the first two days but got worse, and hasn’t made any significant progress…One short week can quickly remind you how precious friends & family are.” 

Kelley posted another update a week later, sharing that her dad is making slow progress. 

She said, “Right now, we’re working on getting his natural oxygen levels high enough to wean him off the respiratory machines. Then we can bring him home, to his happy place, with hospice care. He’s still struggling to open his eyes or speak. But he can mutter, nod and squeeze our hands to acknowledge conversations.” 

Kelley also shared that she and her family have been filled with many mixed emotions as they’ve been going through this experience. 

“It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions — there have been moments where his numbers gave us hope and others where we feared we might lose him,” she expressed, “He’s still very dependant on the breathing machines and requires 24/7 monitoring at the hospital, but we’ve started to see his numbers stabilize and slowly improve. Our ultimate goal is to fulfill his wishes and get him home.”

Kelley then gave one more update this past week, sharing how her siblings have come together to be with their dad. 

She said, “Dad’s current status: Still reliant on respiratory machines, but small improvements in the last 48hrs. Most important, he knows we are all here. ♥️Truly a team effort. My dad hasn’t spent a second alone. My sister set up an air mattress, & all six kids do staggered 12-hour shifts in the hospital. There is always 2-4 of us with him around the clock. This is what family looks like.”
