Jonathon Johnson Gets Candid About His Journey to Finding Self-Love: ‘Let Your Weird Shine’

Bachelor Nation got to know and love Jonathon Johnson on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” while he was looking for love with Jenn Tran.
Since his time on the show, Jonathon has been keeping fans updated with his life on social media, sharing about fun experiences and his time with other Bachelor Nation stars.
Now, Jonathon has taken to Instagram to get candid and open up about his journey to finding self-love.
Alongside a new video he posted online, he said, “Let your weird shine, someone will love you for it! I used to struggle with trying to please everybody. It was so bad that I forgot to give myself permission to love ME.”
Jonathon continued and revealed a little bit more about what inspired his journey to self-acceptance.
He said, “It wasn’t until I realized that I only want to please the people in my life that love everything about me (for the most part lol), that I started living to make myself happy! I know it’s easier said than done, but don’t be one of many, be an individual, and make yourself proud ❤️”
The video shows the Bachelor Nation star goofing around, dancing, riding a roller coaster, and overall having fun and being carefree.
He added text over the video, saying, “‘Girls want a mature guy.’ ‘You need to act your age.’ The day we start acting the way others expect us to…Is the day we lose what makes us special. And your PERSON will love that you didn’t listen.”
Fans and followers loved Jonathon’s video and filled his comments with words of love and support for the Bachelor Nation star.
