Tying the knot! 

Bachelor Nation got to know Julia Rae on the very first season of “The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart.”

Since her time on the show, she has been keeping fans updated with her life on social media and found love off-screen with long-term boyfriend Matt Lucido. 

The two got engaged in the beginning of 2024, and just officially tied the knot on New Year’s Eve!

Now, Julia has taken to Instagram to share photos from the day and revealed that she asked fellow “LTYH” alum Chris Watson to officiate and perform at her wedding. 

Alongside photos from the ceremony, she wrote, “There were things I just knew for sure that I wanted for our wedding day… @tellemwatson as our officiant was one of those things. Chris and I met while filming Listen to Your Heart - one of the many moments that didn’t air was the moment we hit it off and instantaneously decided we would be friends.”

Julia shared more about her friendship with Chris and why she decided he was the perfect choice to officiate her wedding. 

She said, “We kept that promise and fostered a beautiful friendship in LA and Chris was one of my first friends to meet @mattlucido when we started dating. Given who Matt and Chris are, I knew they too would hit it off. Now they love each other so much they hang out without me 😂”

The Bachelor Nation star also revealed that Chris performed some of her favorite songs during the ceremony, including one of his original pieces. 

“Chris brought spirituality, wisdom, charisma, and love to our ceremony like only he could,” Julia expressed. “And he brought his guitar and sang one of my favorite original songs of his, ‘Beauty of Love’ and our recessional, ‘All You Need is Love.’”

She ended the post with a sweet note of gratitude for her friend, saying, “It was beautiful and everything I had hoped it would be. Chris, we are eternally grateful to have had you as our witness. We love you so much!”

Chris also posted about his experience from the beautiful celebration and shared some more snapshots of the day on his Instagram. 

He wrote, “I don’t have enough words to express how honored I was to witness and officiate @itsjuliarae & @mattlucido on their wedding day! You two are truly a gift to the world - keep shining and spreading your light! ♥️”
